Capt Amarinder hails EC raid against Mr Badal’s polling agent

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh today welcomed the Election Commission raid at the residence of one of the polling agents of the Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal in which narcotics worth crores of rupees were recovered.

In a statement issued here today, Capt Amarinder said, the seizures had vindicated Congress stand that the Akalis were using drugs and narcotics for elections purposes. “It is just the tip of an iceberg and if more raids are conducted more seizures can be made”, he remarked.

The PCC President ridiculed the Chief Minister Mr Badal’s allegation that it was a conspiracy against him by the Congress. These are simply the signs of desperation and frustration, he remarked, while adding, Mr Badal has started seeing Congress hand in everything.

Only today, the raid at the residence of Dayal Singh Kollianwali, one of the polling agents of Mr Badal, who lives in Kollianwalli village in Lambi constituency, from where Parkash Singh Badal is contesting the Assembly elections, huge cache of narcotics was recovered.
