Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Thursday refuted the AAP's allegation of harassment, and claimed that the party attracted action in each of the state's sub-districts for littering during Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's meeting last month. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had accused the BJP-led government of harassment, raising the issue of a notice issued to its National Executive member Dinesh Vaghela over illegal business establishments in a residential complex in Porvorim, and an FIR against a Goa Civil Service bureaucrat Elvis Gomes who was allegedly sympathetic to the party.Parsekar said that the government did not indulge in political vendetta and a notice to Vaghela could have been issued as part of routine official duty.

"The officers are doing their respective jobs. I have only read in the newspapers that a notice was sent. They had their banners and posters all over when they had their meeting last... If some action really needed to be taken, there were so many causes for it. Action could have been taken in every taluka (sub-district)," Parsekar said.Parsekar was referring to the publicity material which was plastered across key areas in the state ahead of Kejriwal's public meeting in Panaji on May 22."The government does not come down to this level," Parsekar added.
