Jharkhand CM launches App to monitor water sources

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das on Wednesday launched an App named Irrigation Source Monitoring System (I&SM) to facilitate surveillance and monitoring of construction work of small irrigation sources.During the launching ceremony, the Chief Minister directed the officials to update ongoing farm pond digging status on campaign mode with the help of I&SM application.The App is developed by Jharkhand Space Application Centre of Information Technology & e-governance department of the state government.This Android-based mobile app will update about the irrigation sources through data and Zeo-Tagged photographs. Initially data related to farm small ponds (Dobha) is being stored in this app. Information of this application can be uploaded offline/online in the server.Jharkhand has set target of constructing small ponds (Dhoba) so that rain water could be conserved for farming and maintaining the water level of farms.
