People in State free to follow religion, culture: Naeem Akhtar

Minister for Education Mr. Naeem Akhtar  has said that J&K is a multi-cultural and multi-religious state, where people have all the freedom to follow their cultures and religions. The Minister said this today in the House while responding to an issue raised by Mr. Engineer Rashid. He said that people in J&K have all the freedom to take decision about their private lives. The Minister said our State is not France where Government or some institute decides what dress people should wear.He said people here have all the freedom to follow their culture, religion and can dress as per their own choice.Regarding a recent incident at a private school, the Minister assured the House that the Government would go into the truth of the issue and will take up the matter with the school management.
