Virbhadra Singh inaugurates shelter home for attendants at IGMC

Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today inaugurated the shelter home for the attendants of cancer patients in Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital. The shelter home has been constructed by spending an amount of rupees five lakh provided by the Deputy Commissioner Shimla through Red Cross.Virbhadra Singh said the Almighty Blessings Organization which constructed this home had done a commendable work for the service of suffering humanity. He said NGOs could play more important role than the government sector and they should come forward to help the needy and poor people. This would also motivate others to extend their helping hand.

Vice Chairman, H.P. Red Cross Society Smt. Pratibha Singh also appreciated the efforts of the Organization which was working selflessly for cause of the patients and their attendants. She said initially it was a very small NGO but with the passage of time it had grown manifold and was serving the humanity with dedication.Chairman of the Almighty Blessings Organization Shri Sarvjeet Singh welcomed the Chief Minister on this occasion and thanked him for dedicating this much required shelter home to provide facility to the attendants of patients.Principal, IGMC Dr. K.P. Chaudhary, Senior Medical Superintendent Dr. Ramesh Chand and other senior doctors and officers were present on the occasion.
