Strongly reacting against the arrest of Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir in Islamabad as frustration of the Mehbooba Mufti-led government, the incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah said this is done to please the Delhi masters. In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said the arrest of Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir during a press conference is an interference in the religious matters. He said Mirwaiz had called a press conference to announce the programme in connection with the anniversary of Shaheed-e-Ummat Mirwaiz Qazi Nisar. Terming the arrest as unjustified Shah said the puppet rulers in order to please their masters in Delhi and Nagpur have on one hand turned the whole state into a slaughter house and on other side is interfering into the religious affairs of the people. He reminded Mehbooba of making hue and cry over the restrictions on the resistance leadership when she was in opposition. "Now, after receiving power in charity from Delhi, she (Mehbooba) has forgot everything," Shah said. (KNS)
