Anurag Thakur represented India at World Trade Organization Annual Parliamentary Conference in Geneva

Anurag Thakur, BJP  MP  from Hamirpur  in Himachal and President BJYM   is representing  India at the Annual 2016 Session of the Parliamentary Conference on World Trade Organization. The meeting held in Geneva from 13-14 June 2016 was to discuss ‘Making Trade Work for Development after Nairobi’.Commenting at the event Thakur said, “I would like to utilize this platform and highlight various issues that would aid development. WTO as an institution brings justice for developing countries, however, we must ensure that whatever be the topic of discussion, development should remain to be the focus. Considering millions of people in developing countries are facing challenges such as hunger and poverty, thus we must lay emphasis on development as the primary agenda.” Anurag Thakur is a member of Steering Committee of the Parliamentary Conference on World Trade Organization and represented the views of the country during the session.
