Speaker Kavinder Gupta directs I&FC deptt to make all lift irrigation schemes functional

The Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Mr. Kavinder Gupta today directed the I&FC Department to ensure un-interrupted irrigation facilities to farmers during current Kharief season. He   instructed immediate restoration of defuncted lift irrigation schemes besides pump stations so that the farming community does not face any inconvenience while irrigating their fields as the farming season is underway.The instructions in this regard were given by the Speaker at the beginning of today’s proceedings of the House after the issue was raised by Mr. Mohammad Khalil Bandh.
