NERP training progs held in Rajouri, Samba and Doda

Training programmes to intimate the concerned officials about the process for National Electoral Roll Purification (NERP) were organised in various districts of Jammu province. At Samba, Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda chaired the training and Orientation programmes for Booth Level Officers of Samba and Vijaypur Assembly constituencies.    The DC   informed that the NERP has been started in Mission Mode by Election Commission of India to purify electoral rolls. The exercise would involve deletion of dead voters, removal of double entry and incorporation of high quality colored images in Electoral Rolls.Similarly one day training on National Electoral Rolls Purification (NERP) was held for EROs, AEROs and Assembly Level Master Trainers (ALMTs) here today.The training was conducted under the overall supervision of District Election Officer (DEO), Shabir Ahmed Batt.All the EROs/AEROs of district Rajouri participated in this training programme.The training was imparted by State Level Master Trainer (SLMT), who explained in detail the intricacies and facets for implementation and execution of NERP process.

Likewise  to review the progress of Election Commission of India’s new intensive drive National Electoral Rolls Purification (NERP) 2016, a meeting was held   at meeting hall DC office Complex Doda.The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Doda, SDMs, Tehsildars, District Officers besides other Masters of line department were present in the meeting.The participants were given a brief description about the on-field application process who also suggested ways to simplify and streamline the NERP process. It was informed that the issues pertaining to rationalizing of polling stations in a comprehensive manner shall also be addressed during the period.
