DC Samba reviews functioning of Revenue Dept

The Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda today convened a meeting of Revenue officers and reviewed the performance of the department.The meeting was attended by ADC Samba Pawan Sharma, ACR Samba Parveen Kumar, SDM Ghagwal Narayan Dutt, SDM Vijaypur Ravinder Sharma, Tehsildars and Naib-Tehsildars.In the meeting, progress related to Land Acquisition Cases, PSGA, Complaints, Mutations, Harvest Inspections, Preservation and Maintenance of records were discussed.The DC directed officers to adhere to the time bound delivery of services under Public Services Guarantee Act and cautioned that any violation in this context shall be viewed seriously. She directed that each concerned officer shall certify that ‘No govt building is without Girdawari Entry’ and present details regarding encroachment on State, Custodian, Kacharai land and action taken in these cases.The DC emphasised upon timely submission of Diary Karguzari and Roznamcha Waqyati by the field staff. She reiterated that regular meetings with lamberdars and chowkidars at Tehsil levels must be held.In the meeting, it was decided that, henceforth, number of Fard registered in a Tehsil shall be part of Monthly Progress Report.The Revenue officers also raised issues like shortage of field staff in the meeting.
