CPI-M state secretary and Independent MLA from Kulgam M Y Tarigami Saturday said that bringing back migrant Kashmiri pandits is welcome but “caging them will be a sin. ”Tarigami while speaking during Discussion on the demand of grants for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Department said that the Government must create an atmosphere in the Valley to where Pandits would be welcomed and all the communities could live in harmony. However, he said that caging them will be a bigger sin. Tarigami was referring to the townships that the government has announced for the return of the pandits.On the issue of the evacuee property in the State, Targami warned the Government of giving ownership rights over the property to anyone.“This is an unsettled issue and granting ownerships rights over such properties can’t be justified,” he said.
