Revenue dept’s functioning, NFSA implementation reviewed

Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mohammad Aijaz today chaired a meeting of the revenue officers and officials and  reviewed the functioning of the Department. ADDC, Ravinder Nath Sadhu, ACR,Vevaik Puri,  SDMs, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars of district Ramban and other revenue officials attended the meeting.In the meeting, the DC reviewed the service delivery mechanism   and progress on the implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA). Threadbare discussions were held on the issues regarding the up-dation of land record, red account of rental compensation, inclusion and exclusion of villages from new administrative units, preparation of data base of revenue officers and implementation of NFSA.The DC directed the SDMs of Gool, Banihal and ACR Ramban to identify the land for the construction of Gujjar and Bakarwal hostels. The SDM Gool was also directed to complete land acquisition process for Play ground and Kendreya Vidayala, while Tehsildar  Batote and Banihal were directed to identify the land for  construction of solid waste management plant .

The DC directed the concerned revenue functionaries to conduct inspection of ongoing Girdawari Rabi- 2016 and maintain roster of periodic meetings of revenue officers and officials at sub division and tehsil level. Further Tehsildars were asked to expedite the disposal of land acquisition cases pending with them.The DC asked Tehsildars to submit their tour dairy and monthly progress report before or by the 3rdday of every month. They were directed to submit monthly status report of eviction of Kahcherai and State land and maintenance of revenue record.The DC laid stress on removal of encroachments and directed Tehsildars to organize Public Camps and make proper roaster of patwaris for field visits.He gave strict instructions for timely disposal of revenue cases as per J&K PSGA 2011and its timely submission.  Later, the DC also reviewed the progress of implementation of NFSA in district Ramban. He directed the officers to complete data compilation and come up with error free record for the convenience of general public.
