Govt deptts asked to prominently display services, timeline under PSGA

‘Services availability being closely monitored’

To ensure effective and time-bound implementation of the Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA), the State Government has asked all the concerned offices to display publicly the details of services offered, timeline and contact details of officials and appellate authorities to ensure hassle-free services to the people.The public services which fall under the purview of the PSGA include, issuance of ration card, inclusion of new born child in ration card, domestic power connection, sanctioning of domestic water connection, issuance of dependent certificates, income certificate, state subject certificate, extract of Fardi Intikhab, extract of Girdawari/Jamabandi, attestation of mutations, demarcation of land, registration of vehicles, learners driving license, issuance of driving license, birth/death certificate,  disability certificate, medical fitness certificate and municipal permissions.

To ensure effective implementation of PSGA and availability of these services to the people, the government is, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, Ms Mehbooba Mufti closely monitoring service availability across all offices.In this connect general public is informed that if any of these public services are not made available to them within the set timelines or if there is any dereliction on part of concerned officials in providing these services, they may contact the J&K Government Grievance Cell, in the Chief Minister’s Private Office, Srinagar on telephone nos: 0194- 24500693, 0194–2502596, 0194-2502593 (Monday to Friday).The people can also write to the J&K Government Grievance Cell at: J&K Government Grievance Cell, Chief Ministers Private Office, H-8, Church Lane, Sonawar, Srinagar-190001. The grievances could be also registered at the Grievance Cell website: jkgrievance.nic.in.In all the communications, however, the name and contact number of the complainant should be mentioned prominently as anonymous complaints and grievances shall not be entertained.
