Heart Lung Surgery machine to be installed in GMC Jammu within 15 days: Asiea Naqash

Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development, Social Welfare, Health & Medical Education, Asiea Naqash today, replying to a question of Ramesh Arora, informed the House that a Heart Lung Surgery machine will be installed in Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu within 15 days.The Minister informed that the Department recently has procured the machine under Pradhan Mantri Swathya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) and will be installed within 15 days. She also said that the Department has already procured a latest endoscopic machine for an amount of Rs 90 lakhs and was installed in GMC Jammu on February 2, 2016.The Minister said that the Department will explore ways and means for the procurement of the renal transplantation equipment.  She informed that there is only one MRI machine in GMC Jammu and the Department will review the requirement of MRI machines and take appropriate decision accordingly.Ajatshatru Singh and Surinder Choudhary raised supplementaries to the main question.
