ADC reviews arrangements for Sudh Mahadev mela

Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Angrez Singh Rana today  convened a meeting to review the arrangements for  three days historic Sudh Mahadev mela  commencing from  19th June.For the smooth celebrations of the mela, detailed discussions were held regarding security, adequate medical facilities, supply of safe drinking water, uninterrupted electricity, installation of departmental stalls, transport facility and blacktopping of roads. ADC directed the concerned departments to ensure that all   necessary arrangements are put in place in time for the Mela. Besides  he  stressed on provoding information to the general public regarding the schemes being implemented  by different departments by setting up stalls during the mela days. Tehsildar Chenani has been appointed as the Mela officer to ensure proper coordination among the different departments .

ARTO, Udhampur was directed to arrange adequate number of buses for the pilgrims and to keep a check on  fares during the mela.PHE department was directed to ensure adequate  supply of drinking water while  PWD was directed to take up necessary repair of road   for the smooth flow of traffic.ADC directed Chief Medical Officer to deploy a team of doctors for providing First Aid Facilities to devotees. It was further directed that Assistant Director, CAPD along with the Food Safety officer shall maintain proper check on rates and quality of ediblesACR Subhash Dogra, PO DRDA Jagdish C. Mehra, CMO Chander Prakash, Ex-Ens Of different departments and other district and block level officers were present in the meeting.
