Rs. 44 lakh released for repair, renovation of Poonch court complex: Abdul Haq Khan

Minister for Law, Justice & Rural Development Mr Abdul Haq, while replying to a Calling Attention Notice of Dr. Shahnaz Ganai, informed the House that all the subordinate courts in the State are established by the Government on the recommendations of the  High Court keeping in view various factors viz pendency of cases of a particular area, topography etc.The Minister said that in the year 2014 a demand was made by MLC Dr Shahnaz Ganai regarding establishment of Munsiff Court at Mandi which was taken up with the High Court for consideration and necessary recommendation. He said that no recommendation has been received from the said quarter till date.Mr. Haq further informed the House that administrative approval was accorded to the repairs/renovation and addition/alteration of Court Complex, at Poonch at an estimated cost of Rs 44.40 lacs and entire amount stands released for execution of the work.The Minister said that the project proposal has a provision of Rs 15.41 lakhs for repair/renovation of existing Advocate Chambers and construction of 2 additional chambers.He said, besides, there is a provision of Rs 8.86 lacs for construction of Library Complex on first floor of existing Library with stair case and toilet facility.
