Members raise issues of importance during Zero Hour

Several members raised issues of importance during Zero Hour in the House today.

Mr. Javed Ahmad Mirchal asked for the restoration, revival of water resources in Sopore area.

Mr. Qaiser Jamsheed Lone said that State Government should form some policy for proper implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes to generate employment for the unemployed youths.

Mr. Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo requested for immediate supply of ration in the Chenab valley.

Mr. Showkat Hussain Ganai demanded widening and macadamization of Aglar- -Turqawangam road in District Shopian.

Dr. Shehnaz Ganai said that Government should address the issue of casual labours working in PHE department.

Dr. Bashir Ahmad Veeri said Government should make drinking water arrangements in various areas of Nowshara, especially in Chakadara. He also requested water tanker facility be started for immediate relief in the areas facing water scarcity.

Mr. Vibodh Gupta said Government should make a clear policy for providing compensation to flood affected Gujjar, Bakerwal, and Pahari communities.

Mr. Naresh Kumar Gupta said that Government should take some measures to address the issue of increase in the crime rate in the state.

Mr. Surinder Ambardar called for a resolution condemning China’s ban on observing fasting in the month of Ramadhan in the country.

Mr. Surinder Choudhry requested distribution of free six months of ration to the Nowshera farmers as was recommended by the concerned Deputy Commissioner earlier on account of crop damage due to untimely rains.

Mr. G. N Monga asked Government to fast track recruitments through Service Selection Board.

S. Charanjeet Singh said that Government should address the issue of frequent traffic jams in entire state.

Mr. Sham Lal Bhagat asked for financial allocation for the upgradation and repair of water pipes laid by PHE in 1971-80. Besides, he also asked for  repair of filtration plant in Batote and restoration of two canals that were damaged due to September 2014 flood.  

Mr. Saif-Ud-Din Bhat said that Government should make proper arrangements including staff and infrastructure at the district level Forest Corporation offices to facilitate supply of timber.

Mr. Firdous Tak asked for extension of aid to patients suffering with fatal diseases at SKIMS on humanitarian grounds.

Mr. Jugal Kishore asked for patching and blacktopping of Patnitop road to boost tourism there.

Mr. Ramesh Arora asked the Government to address the issue of unscheduled power cuts in Jammu.
