Denial of ‘SIROPA’ to CM Badal, AAP terms it as sentiments of entire Sikh Community

Day after denial of honouring Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal with “Siropa” by Priest (Ardasia) of Darbar Sahib, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today termed it as sentiments of entire Sikh Community against the repeated sacrilege of Shiri Guru Granth Sahib. “Ardasia Bhai Balbir Singh was representing the entire Sikh community to express anguish against Badals by not honouring him, as Badals have failed to arrest even a single ‘guilty’ involved in the shameful acts of sacrilege”, AAP Spokesman Sukhpal Khaira said. Shifting Bhai Balbir Singh hours after his denial to honour Badal, shows that Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) is working on the instructions of Badals, Khaira said. 

“Although it is a known fact that SGPC Chief Makkar is ‘puppet’ of Badals, but his action against Bhai Balbir Singh has substantiated it once again that how much loyal he (Makkar) is for his ‘political bosses’”, Khaira added. Badal had constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and even a Commission to probe the sacrilege incident of Bergadi, but nothing has come out so far, Khaira said even the CBI has proved a big failure on probing the sacrilege incidents. “Instead of probing the incident, CBI just announced cash reward for providing any information about the accused for sacrilege”, Khaira said. On the law & order situation in Punjab, Khaira said graph of heinous crimes is rising like anything, which include recent murder of an Industrialist at Jalandhar in broad day light, but Badals have turned their faces from truth and claiming complete ‘peace’ in the state. Instead of taking action against those found involved in the attack on Sant Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale, Akalis are trying hard to bargain ‘truce’ between attackers and victims, Khaira alleged.
