Vigilance Bureau today nabbed a patwari Talwinder Singh in a graft case with the bribe money of Rs. 20,000 in district Patiala.Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said that the Patwari was nabbed on the complaint of Harvinder Singh R/O Village Bharri Panaichan Teh. Nabha, district Patiala.The complainant in his complaint stated that after the death of his grand father, he had requested a to the Patwari about a year and a half back to transfer about 23 Bighas of land in the name of his mother Smt Harbans Kaur, as per the WILL of the deceased.Instead of transferring the land he demanded a sum of Rs. 30,000 later after negotiating, a deal was struck at Rs. 25,000 and out of the total amount fixed, the Patwari took the initial amount of Rs. 5000 from the complainant on the spot on June 1, 2016.The Spokesman further said that on the information given by Harvinder Singh a trap was laid by a team of vigilance bureau led by Inspector Paramjit Kaur, Vigilance Bureau Patiala at Sandhu Colony Bhadson and the Patwari was caught red handed accepting the bribe money of Rs. 20,000.
