Manzulzoura Irrigation Canal Phase-II to be completed by next financial year: Sham Lal Choudhary

Minister for PHE & Irrigation and Flood Control Sham Lal Choudhary today, replying to a question of Zafar Iqbal Manhas in the Upper House, informed that the construction of Manulzoura Irrigation Canal Phase-II is likely to be completed by the end of next financial year subject to the release of funds by Union Government and availability of key construction material.The Minister further informed that the scheme was approved under Accelerated Irrigation Benefits Programme (AIBP) at an estimated cost of Rs 7.96 crore, adding that, out of total estimated cost, an amount of Rs 47.69 lakh have been incurred up to March 2016.
