Disrupts Assembly proceedings, seeks judicial probe

The mysterious death of a Muslim Gujjar boy in Kishtwar region sparked a protest from Congress members including MLA Inderwal Ghulam Muhammad Saroori in Legislative Assembly on Monday.As soon as the Assembly proceedings started, GM Saroori along with other Congress members barged into well and demanded judicial probe into the death of 27 year old Gujjar youth.While waving a copy of newspaper in air GM Saroori alleged that Gujjar youth Abdul Wahid son of Abdul Gafoor Gujjar has been shot dead of Army and his body has been thrown into the river. The Congress member according to news agency CNS while quoting locals said that Wahid a resident of Hangarna village of Tehsil Mughal Maidan Chhatru of Kishtwar region was on way to Balana village to invite his relatives for marriage ceremony when an Army patrolling party stopped him and shot him dead.

“Locals as well as police have found some used cartiriges on spot and the population believes that after killing the innocent youth Army threw his body into the river,” Saroori informed the house amid noise and chaos.Parliamentary Affairs Minister Abdul Rehman Veeri informed the House that an FIR has already been registered in this regard and efforts are on to trace the body of the young Gujjar. However, Saroori continued his protest and demanding judicial probe into the incident.After the culmination of the Assembly session, Congress leader and former Minister GM Saroori told CNS that the locals in Hangarna village have been accusing Army of Wahid’s killing and despite registering a massive protest there, the government is yet to initiate action against the killers.
