DC reviews preparations for taking up development works

Village Sheetal Nagar( Bhoond)  of Kathua district is being developed  as Model village  under the centrally sponsored Sansad Adarsh Gram  Yojna.The scheme envisages comprehensive development of the villages under the supervision of the concerned Members of Parliament.    Sheetalnagar ( Bhoond), village has been adopted by Dr. Jitendra Singh, MoS in PMO’s Office to develop it as Model Village under  SAGY during the  year 2016-17.In this regard, the District Development Commissioner Ramesh Kumar chaired a meeting of the concerned district and sectoral officers to review the preparations for taking up the development works.The DDC designated SDM Basohli as Nodal Officer to monitor the development of the village and to act as a coordinator among various departments.

To ensure collection of error free baseline survey data, the DDC constituted a team comprising of BLO, Anganwadi worker and GRS of concerned area for door to door survey. He exhorted upon the officers to conduct extensive tour of the village before formulating the Village Development Plan.The DC directed all department heads to activate their men and machinery for effective and timely implementation of development schemes and programmes.He asked all the concerned departments to use their internal resources to speed up development works after preparing the Village development Plan. He stressed on adopting convergence mode for creation of assets besides effective implementation of SAGY.The meeting was attended by the ADDC Kathua, CEO LSDA, ACD, Chief Planning Officer, CMO, CAO, DSWO and heads of various departments.
