DLRC meeting held at Kathua

DDC stresses on spreading financial literacy, hassle free credit flow

To review the flow of credit under Annual credit Plan, 2016-17 and performance of banks relating to advances in priority sectors, District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting was held here today with District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramesh Kumar in the chair.Additional District Development Commissioner, Kathua, LDO, RBI, AGM NABARAD, Chief Planning Officer Kathua, other officers of line departments, Bankers attended the meeting . The Chairman DLRC (DDC, Kathua) Ramesh Kumar took review of the performance of banks in key areas like deposits, advances, priority sectors and targets achieved under CD ratio.The DDC called for enhancing targets relating to deposits, advances and priority sector advances. While reviewing the CD Ratio which was recorded at 46.69 % under last year Annual Credit plan, the DC stressed on further improvement and set 55% target for 2016-17. The DDC also took detailed review of road map drawn for extending banking services in unbanked areas. He called for more concerted efforts to give requisite fillip to rural credit dispensation, particularly to cover Agriculture, SHGs, Weaker Sections and women.He exhorted upon the bankers and line department to work in close coordination to ensure flow of hassle-free financial assistance and successful implementation of various Govt. sponsored schemes. He also stressed on holding awareness camps to motivate people   to take benefit of   schemes like PMJDY,PMJJBY, PMSBY and MUDRA Bank Yojana .He also underlined the need for inclusion of market intensive trades in the skill development programmes launched for the youth.
