The construction of 132/33KV, 2x20MVA Grid station in Kishtwar under PMRP incurred a total expenditure of Rs 124.11 lakh.The Minister of State for Power, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi informed this in the Legislative Council today while replying to a question of Mr. Firdous Ahmad Tak today.The Minister informed that for the procurement of Distribution Transformers Quality, the Union Ministry of Power has issued guidelines on February 01, 2016 wherein energy efficiency level has been prescribed and BIS marking has been made mandatory.He informed that the cost of transformers and electric poles purchased by the user Divisions of PDD from Electric Central Store Division, Jammu is Rs 290,246. The government is working hard to improve the power scenario in the state, he added.Naresh Gupta, Qaisar Jamsheed Lone, Surinder Choudhary, Ajat Shatru Singh raised supplementaries to the main question.
