DIPR to launch online advertisement portal

As a step towards modernization, J&K Government’s Department of Information and Public Relations will be soon shifting to online distribution of advertisements to streamline the process of releasing advertisements and payments to the newspapers.The process for devising a proper mechanism for online distribution of advertisements was started by the Department last June and after a consultancy was engaged to develop dedicated software for the purpose.After several review meetings on the issue, the Department has finalized the software and would be shortly going for online distribution of advertisements. However, before formally launching the online advertisement distribution mechanism, the Department has sought suggestions from the newspapers and other stakeholders to further improve the new system of advertisement distribution.The Department has created a dedicated online domain for the advertisement distribution which can be logged on at www.jkinformationadvt.in.
