Sarita Chauhan reviews functioning of SWD

Commissioner/Secretary, Social Welfare, Sarita Chauhan today chaired a meeting to review the physical and financial achievements registered by the department under various schemes at Jammu.During the meeting, Chauhan reviewed the progress under various schemes including Integrated Child Development Scheme, Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme, Integrated Social Security Scheme and Pre and Post Matric Scholarship Scheme.Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said that the people should be made aware about various welfare schemes being implemented by the department  so that they can avail maximum benefits from these schemes .She directed the officers to ensure comprehensive coverage of deserving population under the schems for inclusive growth of weaker and vulnerable sections.
