Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today assured the high powered delegation of management committee of Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib of all support and cooperation for the commemoration of 350th year of the Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji not only at the national but international level also.Disclosing this here today, a spokesperson of Chief Minister’s Office said that the high powered delegation led by SGPC President Mr. Avtar Singh, who is also the President of Management Committee of Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib called on Mr. Badal to have detailed discussions regarding the celebrations of 350th year of the Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji at his birth place- Sri Patna Sahib.Responding to the issues raised by the members of the delegation, the Chief Minister agreed to take up the matter of enhancing the frequency of Tata Nagar-Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar Express Train from two days in a week to daily with the Union Railways Minister Mr. Suresh Prabhu. 

The Chief Minister also informed that he would also request the Union Ministry of Railways to run special trains from Delhi, Amritsar, Bathinda, Nangal Dam and Pathankot to Patna Sahib to enable the lacs of devotees to participate in this mega event. He also assured that the SGPC would also run special buses to ferry passengers from different parts of state to Patna Sahib.Conceding another demand, the Chief Minister also asked the Director Cultural Affairs to include General Secretary S. Sarjinder Singh and S. Pritpal Singh from Management Committee of Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib as members in the state level advisory committee to have better coordination for the day-to-day arrangements of the historic function in a befitting manner. The Chief Minister also asked the President SGPC and the General Secretary Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa to have a detailed meeting with the member of Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib to discuss some vital issues like construction of Punjab Bhawan, dissemination of information related to the celebrations of 350th year of the Parkash Utsav of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on some Punjabi TV channels etc. 

Subsequently, the consensus arrived in this meeting on these issues could be finally discussed at his level for their quick resolution, added Mr. Badal.Prominent amongst others who attended the meeting included; Director Tourism and Cultural Affairs Mr. Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa, President of both SGPC and Management Committee of Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib Jathedar Avtar Singh, General Secretary Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa, S. Roop Singh and S. Avtar Singh both Secretaries SGPC, Senior Vice President S. Shailendra Singh, Junior President Bibi Kamaljit Kaur, General Secretary S. Sarjinder Singh, Secretary S. Mohinder Singh Chhabra and S. Mahinder Singh Dhillon.
