No resolution of K-dispute sans Kashmiris involvement

Senior Hurriyat leader, Bilal Gani Lone Sunday said that unity of the resistance leadership is more valuable than the individual parties and said that without Kashmiris involvement there can be no resolution of the Kashmir dispute.Lone was speaking during special prayer meeting organised by Hurriyat (M) (APHC) for Shaheed-e-Hurriyat Khawaja, Abdul Gani Lone, Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq and all the martyrs of Jammu Kashmir was in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Sunday.While paying glowing tributes to Shaheed-e-Millat and Shaheed-e-Hurriyat for their political and social services to the people, Lone said that Shaheed Abdul Gani Lone would always strive for the unity of the pro-freedom parties.He said that after his father’s martyrdom he joined resistance movement. “To take forward my father’s mission is my duty. Freedom is not achieved by itself; we have to struggle for it.”“We have time and again insisted on India and Pakistan to let the Kashmiri people choose their own destiny. Without Kashmiris involvement there can be no resolution of the Kashmir dispute, which is internationally accepted dispute,” he said.The programme was presided over by senior Hurriyat leader, Bilal Gani Lone while senior Hurriyat leaders Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat, Muhammad Musadiq Adil and Master Muhammad Afzal spoke on the occasion and APHC’s Political Adviser, Abdul Majid Banday was the moderator.

During the programme, the continued house arrest of the Hurriyat (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was condemned and government’s decision of stopping him from participating in this prayer meeting at Kralpora was termed as dictatorial.Lone said Shaheed-e-Hurriyat worked tirelessly for the betterment of the people and for helping them in their just struggle for which his role would be recorded in the golden leaves of Kashmir’s resistance movement.Terming Kashmir’s resistance movement as an inspiring and prestigious one, Lone said he would use all his efforts in making the conglomerate strong and notable and asked people to remain steadfast as truth wins in the end while oppressive forces have to taste the defeat.Stressing that Kashmir’s resistance movement was based on just struggle for which people had offered sacrifices of life and property, Lone said people needed to respect these sacrifices and take them to the logical conclusion by showing involvement and remaining steadfast toward the movement.Senior Hurriyat leader Prof. Abdul Gani Bhat in his address stressed that without resolving Kashmir issue, clouds of uncertainty, animosity and bitterness would continue to hover in the entire South Asian region and called upon the need to have a realistic thinking for moving forward by engaging in a process of dialogue, which he said was the only solution to the vexed issue.Urging New Delhi and Islamabad to realise the importance of resolving Kashmir issue, Prof. Bhat said for the benefit of crores of people of the region, the two countries should take the people of Kashmir into confidence and initiate meaningful dialogue.Meanwhile, an APHC spokesman condemned the continued house detention of Mirwaiz Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq and amalgam Media Advisor Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam and detention of Mukhtar Ahmad Waza at Sher Bagh Islamabad Police Station for the past four days besides other Hurriyat leaders.
