Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today extended strict warning to Congress Party for its misleading propaganda under wheat scam, which had never taken place, and asked Congress leadership that they could approach the Hon'ble Court, if they had substantial evidence in this regard.On the sidelines of Sangat Darshan program here, Mr. Badal while interacting with media persons at village Chooriwala Dhanna said that senior leader of Congress Party Mr. Sunil Jakhar and his associates, who were working hard to prove the wheat scam, were free to knock the doors of court so that the truth could be brought to fore. Mr. Badal strongly refuted the charges leveled by Congress leadership described that the stocks pertaining to wheat were accurate but sticking to its anti-Punjab stance the Congress Party was creating unnecessary hue and cry over this issue.

Answering a query Mr. Badal said that Congress was going through a severe political crisis not only in Punjab but too across the country and they had nothing to showcase in this state. He said that issueless congress was all out to level baseless allegations against ruling alliance just to garner political mileage but this would never be helpful for Congress to retrieve its eroded base in Punjab.Predicting third consecutive win of SAD-BJP alliance, the Chief Minister said that Congress as well as AAP would have to face the wrath of people in ensuing elections since the electorates have understood the fact that Congress had been befooling the people for a long time and AAP had betrayed the people of Delhi. He said that Punjab had secured top rankings in various fields of development vis-à-vis taking remarkable development initiatives during last nine years.On the query regarding recent poll results in some states, Mr. Badal said it was evident enough to gauge the fact that Congress had lost its base and people have turned towards parties prioritizing development. In the meantime, the Chief Minister addressed the people in different villages and said development was the main agenda during the forthcoming assembly elections in the state. He said that the unprecedented development in the state during the last nine years had far surpassed what was achieved in last 60 years. He mentioned that projects worth Rs.12,000 crore have been initiated to provide the basic civic amenities to the people. Mr. Badal also impressed upon the people to participate in the development process so as to ensure strict supervision and quality control in these projects.

During the Sangat Darshan program, the Chief Minister visited Sayadianwali, Dangar Khera, Chooriwala Dhanna, Wazidpur, Kattianwali and disbursed development grants to the concerned village panchayats.Earlier, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Transport Mr. Gurtej Singh Guriana welcomed the Chief Minister. Prominent amongst others who were present during the Sangat Darshan included; Health Minister Mr. Surjit Kumar Jyani, Member Parliament from Ferozepur Mr. Sher Singh Ghubaya, Deputy Commissioner Fazilka Ms. Isha Kalia, Joint Special Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Kumar Amit, SSP Mr. Narinder Bhargav, District SAD President Fazilka Jathedar Gurpal Singh Grewal besides several party leaders of SAD-BJP and members of SGPC.
