Punjab Congress Chief Amarinder Singh on Wednesday asserted that there are no differences between him and political strategist Prashant Kishor and they "get along very well".Singh's statement has come as part of an effort to put all speculation indicating simmering differences between him and Kishor to rest. "He (Kishor) is here staying in my house; there is nothing of the sort as being propagated. We both get on very well. He is a strategist, I am the party president. He discusses every issue with me and whatever we have to implement, we implement after a thorough discussion," Singh said in an interview to NDTV. He asserted that there were no differences with Kishor. Kishor, who is said to be behind designing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Lok Sabha election campaign and Nitish Kumar's 2015 Bihar Assembly polls campaign, was recently roped in by Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for the party in next year's Punjab and Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

However, it was reported that all is not well between Kishor and some Congress leaders leaders of UP and Punjab.Downplaying the controversy that erupted after Kishor met Singh's adversaries Jagmeet Brar and Bir Devinder Singh, Amarinder said: "Kishor had only met them, and people made a hue and cry about a non-issue." "He (Kishor) met all Congressmen in my absence and that is the purpose he is here for. He has to make a strategy for us and how can one chalk out a strategy without knowing people, and what they want," Singh said. Singh termed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) merely a spoiler for the next assembly elections in Punjab and said the party's graph is on a downslide.

"The situation has changed a great deal here (since 2014). I just foresee them as a damaging prospect not a winning prospect," he said, asserting that "Delhi civic election results have also proved that their performance is going down." He added that Delhi voters voted against AAP in the MCD by-elections as "Kejriwal's governance has been pathetic".Commenting on the newly-formed jumbo size Punjab Congress Committee, Amarinder said it was the need of the hour as "party is in election mode". "There are people here ever since I have been here for the last 46 years. Those people are very senior and if they are given posts commensurate with their experience and loyalty to the party, there is nothing wrong in it," he said. Amarinder also added that he has appointed an in-charge for each of the 117 assembly segments and "they have been assigned with a cut out task to perform".
