AAP Gherao's CM's Residence, CM Terms The Move Useless, Un-Democratic

Terming the move of Aam Aadmi Party to gherao Chief Minister's residence as illogical and un-democratic, the Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal said that doors of his house were open round the clock for people across various political parties and common man for the betterment of Punjab.Talking to media persons today during the sangat darshan of various villages in Dirba assembly constituency, Mr Badal gave an open call to leaders of Aam Aadmi Party and others to discuss issues of Punjab said that when his doors were open round the clock, the need to gherao residence is useless, without any essence and non-democratic. Mr Badal said that he went out to people himself, listened to their problems and tried to solve same on the spot.Terming the approach of AAP as a move of anarchist, Mr Badal said that this non-democratic behavior will not do any good to the state, albeit this method can increase people's problems.  He added that the sole motive of AAP was to spread disharmony in state, which will not be tolerated at any cost.

Earlier, while addressing people during sangat darshan the Chief Minister said that Congress and AAP had an unholy alliance in Punjab that was trying to poach on the developmental swing of state. He said that Congress and AAP have decided to take state off its track of development, bu will never succeed in such nefarious plans.

Condemning both the parties for their anti-Punjab stand on issue of state's waters, the CM said these parties were trying to rob state off its waters. Talking about the role of Congress in SYL issue so far, Mr Badal said Congress has always committed wrong with the state's waters. He said that Haryana, Rajasthan or any other state did not have any right over state's waters but the COngress illegally gave water to these states. He made people remember that Smt Indira Gandhi laid foundation stone of SYL in village Kapoori, which Captain Amarinder SIngh had appreciated. He said that the Akali Dal had put up a huge morcha at Kapoori for Punjab's waters wherein thousands of Akalis were arrested and since then Akali Dal has been fighting for state's rights over this issue.

Condemning the role of AAP on SYL issue, the CM said that the Delhi government's affidavit filed in Supreme Court over the issue has exposed anti-Punjab attitude of Punjab government. He added that the affidavit states Punjab's stand on SYL has unconstitutional and against the country and Kejriwal has even stated that this move of Punjab can fragment country. He added that when Kejriwal himself belonged to Haryana it was easy for him to have more affinity towards Haryana and one cannot expect him to fight for Punjab's rights.He said that Congress and AAP were against the development of state. He said that SYL was not only related to farming sector, as taking away of water rights will not only sound death knell for farmers, but for the entire economy of Punjab. He called upon people to be ready for agitation in near future.Talking about the importance of sangat darshan porgram, he said that it was the best example of democracy wherein people's problems were listened and solved on the spot. It made govenrment officers answerable to people.The CM conducted sangat darshan of Mauran, Gujran, Kamalpur, Samuran, Betla, and Ladbanjara wherein he listened to villagers, solved their problems and distributed grants for developmental works.The finance Minister Mr Parminder S Dhindsa, CPS Sant Balbir Singh Ghuns, former minister Mr Gobind SIngh Kanjla, CM's special secretary Mr S Karunaraju, DC Mr Arshdeep SIngh Thind, SSP Mr Pritpal SIngh Thind and others were also present.
