Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga today inaugurated various lanes and drains in block Vijaypur constructed with a cost of Rs. 11.60 lakh under convergence scheme with MGNREGA.While inspecting the development works, Ganga expressed satisfaction over the quality of works and directed the officers to put sincere efforts in creating durable assets for the society.Highlighting efforts of the government in providing better infrastructure to the people, Ganga said that in a short period of time, we have initiated several developmental works, while as many have been completed. He said that the coalition government is making concerted efforts to provide enhanced amenities to the people.“Focused attention is being accorded on creation of long-lasting infrastructural facilities in all essential sectors to enhance the usefulness of public utilities,” the Minister asserted.

The Minister said that the government is committed to weed out the menace of corruption from the system adding that there shall be no compromise on this account. He urged upon people to work together to eradicate certain social evils from the society especially corruption. He stressed upon the people to come forward and avail maximum benefits from the state and centrally sponsored schemes to improve their economic standards.Responding to the issue of shortage of drinking water supply in the area, the Minister directed the PHE authorities to ensure adequate water supply to the people.Later, the Minister visited village Doulat Chack in Ramgarh area to assess the damage to the huts of Gujjar community in a fire incident that took place here yesterday. It was informed that 2 residential huts and one cattle shed was destroyed in the mishap resulting in the death of 4 cattle. In another similar fire incident in the village, one cattle had died and a house of Kasturi Lal, S/o Charan Dass got damaged.The Minister assured the members of community of all possible support from government and directed SDM Vijaypur to submit the case to the concerned authorities so that the compensation will be provided to the people affected in the fire incident.Among others, SDM Vijaypur Rajnish Gupta, XeN PHE Sarwan Singh, Xen PDD Sanjiv Bhagat, BDO Vijaypur Dr, Anirudh Rai, BDO Ramgarh Rakesh Dubey, concerned officers and locals were present on the occasion.
