Grievance redressal camp held

With an aim to know about the problems being faced by the people, the District Administration, Udhampur organised a public meeting cum grievance redressal camp at Gharrian panchayat here today.MLA Chenani Dina Nath Bahagat, District Development Commissioner Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Assistant Commissioner Development Joginder Singh Rai, SDM Chenani Devinder Sharma and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.Common masses raised their demands related to power supply, water supply, irrigation facilities, upgradation of school, agriculture, animal husbandry, health and other vital sectors during the camp. Reacting to their problems, the MLA said that all their demands would be met in a time bound manner.MLA Dina Nath Bhagat informed the gathering that Rs 50 Lakh have been provided under CDF for streamlining power supply and more than 6 stations of 25KVA would be established in the area soon.

The officers also discussed opening of ration outlet at Kalasar, culvert over irrigation canal, blacktopping of 7 km stretch on Chenani-Pattangarh road, completion NABARD building in Middle School, Gharian and construction of new building for PS Karalsar.The MLA along with DDC, Udhampur also inspected a 65 Ft span mountain bridge to be constructed under project Rahat. The bridge will prove beneficial to 350 students of four schools and will providing connectivity to 1,400 souls in two villages. PO DRDA Dr Jagdish Mehra, CMO Dr Chander Parkash, CEO Bishen Singh, DSWO Rachna Sharma, ExEns Ravi Raina (PMGSY), Chamel Singh (PDD), Rajesh Gupta(PWD), Mehmood Ahmed (REW), Dr Sanjeev Kumar, CAO Dr K L Gupta and BDO Dr Shavi were also present in the meeting.
