Dy CM attends Shankar Acharya Jayanti

Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh today attended a function to commemorate the Jayanti of Shankar Acharya - one of the leading Hindu Scholars of the millennium at Shankar Acharya temple here.The Minister of State for Tourism and Culture, Mrs Priya Sethi, senior leader Mr Yudhveer Sethi and prominent religious persons were also present.Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister highlighted the historical role played by Shankar Acharya. He said the saint was instrumental in spreading the teachings and philosophy of the Hinduism and he is being revered across the subcontinent for his immense contribution. He said we should follow the teachings of this great person for leading a contended way of life.
