The State Vigilance Commission, after closing on April 29, 2016 at Jammu, reopened here today.Chief Vigilance Commissioner, Kuldeep Khoda, accompanied by Vigilance Commissioner Gous-Ul-Nisa and other senior officers of the Commission, went round all the sections and took stock of the facilities available to the employees of the Commission. The Chief Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) asked the employees to work in close coordination in order to attend and address maximum complaints being received by the Commission. The CVC instructed Addl Secretary to take necessary measures for establishing a separate record room with all security facilities so that important records of the Commission are secured from any damage.Later, the CVC had a meeting with the officers of the Commission and discussed in detail the internal issues and the problems, if any, faced by the employees of the Commission.

Seeking cooperation from people in eradicating corruption from the State, the CVC underlined need for launching a massive awareness campaign to sensitize people about the role of the Commission in fighting against corruption and corrupt officials in State administration. He observed that this objective could only be achieved when people come forward and intimate the Commission about the corrupt practices being practised by the officials in State administration. He said people have an important role in fighting against corruption and can file their complaints either personally, fax or E.mail. jksvc@nic.in is the E.mail address while 01942470906 is fax number of the Commission on which people can file their complaints, he added.
