National Anthem composer Rabindranath Tagore’s B’day celebrated at GJIMT

Gian Jyoti Institute of management & Technology, Phase 2, Mohali celebrated 155th  Birthday of Great Rabindranath Tagore, Keeping in mind the significance of his contributions as Tagore was a master of several literary forms .He was a poet, a novelist, a short-story writer , a playwright and was celebrated painter also. The great composer of our National Anthem was awarded first Nobel Prize for 'Gitanjali' in 1913. A seminar was organized at the moment, in which all Faulty members participated and presented their views about on the life of Rabindranath Tagore. While speaking at the moment Chairman, JS Bedi,  Gian Jyoti Group of Institutions said that   the noble prize winner Rabindranath Tagore was a versatile and inspiring personality  and  great freedom fighter, he  even  returned  British Crown of the Knighthood , as a mark of protest against the inhuman massacre in Jallianwalabagh. He further urged that young generation should take inspiration from his life to learn the importance of Goodness, Meaningful Work, and World Culture. One minute silence was also observed to pay him homage.
