Terming establishing of Sainik colonies and separate zones for Pandits as part of a wicked plan of India, Jammu Kashmir National Front chairman and Hurriyat leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan Saturday cautioned Kashmiri people about the conspiracies against their special identity and the ongoing freedom struggle. Khan in a statement issued to KNS said that New Delhi and its local collaborators are busy implementing a policy so that the disputed nature of Jammu Kashmir is diluted.

Khan said that conspiracies are being hatched to establish Sainik colonies and create separate zones for Kashmiri pundits, which is neither in favour of the pandits nor the majority Muslims. He said that such colonies and zones are sure to be used for settling non state subjects and create misunderstandings between the people of Kashmir on communal basis.

Khan said that such colonies and separate zones will be opposed tooth and nail to save hundreds of year’s old harmony between Muslims and non Muslims and the disputed nature of the region. He further said that these colonies and zones are aimed at creating state within state so that the voice of the majority people is suppressed more.“Muslim majority state of Jammu Kashmir is a disputed region however India is trying everything to dilute its disputed nature by a number of means. We cannot tolerate Indian laws in Jammu Kashmir nor we can tolerate any attempt to disturb its demography,” Khan said, adding “we have sacrificed one lakh people to safeguard our particular identity and no one will be allowed even to touch it.”

Paying rich tributes to Shaheed Ashfaq Ahmad Dar of Dogripora Pulwama, Shaheed Ishfaq Ahmad Baba of Tahab Pulwama and Shaheed Haseeb Ahmad Palla of Bandyun Pulwama, Khan said that these martyrs have added in our responsibilities that we have to safeguard the sacrifices at any cost. Khan expressed solidarity with the families of the said martyrs. He said that India has completely failed to face pro-freedom sentiment of the people of Kashmir politically so it has resorted to unfair means of changing the demography of Kashmir and curbing the pro-freedom voices through power. He said that New Delhi must know that people living in the disputed Jammu Kashmir want peace and stability in the whole region which is possible only after the resolution of Kashmir dispute. (KNS)
