AAC pays glowing tributes to Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq

'Make Hafta-e-Shahadat programme success'

A meeting of the district heads and office bearers of the Awami Action Committee (AAC) presided over by the president AAC and the Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Mirwaiz Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq was held at the party headquarters at Mirwaiz Manzil Srinagar.During the meeting, the participants paid glowing tributes to the founder of the Awami Action Committee (AAC), Shaheed-e-Millat, Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq and resolved that the organization would carry forward his mission, for which the people have offered countless sacrifices, to its logical conclusion.The meeting held deliberations about the ongoing political situation and various organizational matters including overlooking finalizing arrangements and preparations for the Hafta-e-Shahadat programme being organised by AAC.During the meeting, while taking stock of the arrangement for the programme meant for paying tributes to the founder of the organization Shaheed-e-Millat Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq, Martyrs of Hawal and Shaheed-e-Hurriyat Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone, it was stressed that more and more participation of the people at the programme should be ensured.

It was also decided that for making the organization’s May 21 programme of a public rally at Martyrs Graveyard Eidgah a grand success and a historic event. The district presidents of the AAC were directed to lead the rallies from different parts of the Valley towards Eidgah.Addressing the meeting, the Mirwaiz urged the participants to mobilize all organizational units for making the Hafta-e-Shahadat programme a success.Stressing that at the political and resistance level, entire Kashmiri nation including the resistance leadership and the freedom-loving people were at the receiving end of all types of aggression carried against them to subdue and suppress them, the APHC Chairman said attempts were being made to snap the connection between the people and resistance leadership by preventing them from participating even in condolence and religious meetings by using excessive force against them.Calling for observing the Hafata-e-Shahadat with all the more determination and resolve, he said in such circumstances massive participation in this programme would be a befitting reply to the crackdown on the resistance leadership.

The Mirwaiz said to realize the unfulfilled dreams of Shaheed-e-Millat, Shaheed-e-Hurriyat and lakhs of martyrs of Kashmir is the responsibility of the resistance leadership and for this it is necessary to remain steadfast and consistent in taking the resistance movement forward.Terming Kashmiri Pandits an inseparable part of Kashmiri society, he said APHC has always stood for their returns to their homes and hearths with dignity and honor but settling them in satellite colonies would damage the atmosphere of mutual brotherhood and respect among different communities which has been the part of Kashmiri culture and society for centuries. 

Stressing that the claims of government of providing adequate ration to the people had proven to be hallow, the APHC Chairman said it has been observed that after implementation of NFSA in Jammu and Kashmir, the stocks of ration and that of sugar have also disappeared from the ration depots showing that the government was targeting people with aggression in every respect.During the meeting, all the participants expressed determination to observe Hafta-e-Shahadat with resolve and commitment and said, AAC being a foremost organisation in leading Kashmir resistance movement, it was incumbent upon all its rank and file to make the programme a success with discipline and determination.
