Dy CM provides financial assistance to injured PDD lineman

The Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh today provided financial assistance to a PDD lineman who was   injured while discharging his duty some time back at Bhatindi.The lineman Mr Shamsdin presently attached with the Gandhi Nagar Electric Division was badly injured while doing his duty at Bhatindi and was later hospitalised. While speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the officers should ensure that these types of incidents do not occur in future. He called for following a proper procedure and taking all necessary safety measures to avoid such incidents during fixing of snags and carrying other works. He said that the skilled labour force does the major task in ensuring that the people get the power supply so their safety should be give first priority.Dr Singh also said that the government has already undertaken the necessary steps to enhance the power infrastructure by launching several developmental schemes.
