Finance Minister Reviewed Progress Of Construction In Sector 33

The Finance Minister, Punjab, Parminder Singh Dhindsa today reviewed the progress of Vit & Yojana Bhawan under construction in Sector-33. After conducting a tour of the place with the concerned officers, the Minister disclosed that the 70 percent of construction work is complete and civil works are totally completed.The construction of the whole Bhawan would be over by September and from October onwards, all the offices of Finance & Planning department being run from Chandigarh and Mohali would function under one roof saving precious time and energy of the people besides leading to increase in efficiency of the department.S. Dhindsa further said that this Bhawan is situated on the main road in 33-A in an area of 1.75 acres and would incur the cost of Rs. 40 crore. 

The building would be 7 storied and on the state of the art pattern. This Bhawan would also house his own office apart from that of Directors, Secretaries & Principal Secretaries of the department. The building of the Bhawan would be air-conditioned with Wi-Fi facility.Divulging more, S. Dhindsa said that the Bhawan would also have meeting/conference rooms with capacity of 50 persons and Big parking space with lift and pantry rooms. Besides this, 550 employees of 11 departments would sit in the bhawan which would lead to better co-ordination.On the occasion, Secretary Planning Mr. S.R. Ladhar, Director (Treasury and Accounts), Chief Engineer  Public Works Department Mr. Ravinder Singh were also present.
