Arrangements for celebration of Mehraj-ul-Aalam (SAW) were today reviewed in a meeting held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Kulgam, Mr. Showkat Aijaz Bhat.The meeting among others was attended by: Exn. PHE, PDD, CMO, AD CAPD, Chief Animal and Sheep Husbandry Officer,  all Tehsildars, DSP Hqr Kulgam, and Executive Officers of Municipalities, ARTO, Food Safety Officer and other district officers. Besides, the representatives of traders body, Auqaf Committee and other civil society members were present in the meeting.DDC directed for ensuring all basic facilities to the devotees at all the shrines and Masjids. He also directed concerned officers of PDD and PHE to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply and  directed for installation of DG sets at all shrines.

R&B was asked for ensuring repair and renovation of the roads,  CMO for establishment of round the clock medical camps with additional ambulances and gearing up of PHC’s and all Executive Officers of the Municipal Committees were asked for special drive for cleanliness in and around the shrines, mosques and towns.AD, CAPD was directed to keep essential commodities like rice, sugar, Atta, LPG and K.Oil available and  also asked for displaying the rates of essentials  and distribution lists under NFSA outside the stores.ARTO was directed for providing adequate transport facility for the pilgrims in the district.Tehsildars were directed to undertake market checking and Food Safety Department was asked to ensure quality edibles are available in the market.
