DDC Anantnag for better traffic management, safety of citizens

Safety of citizens and traffic management in Anantnag Town is the first priority of the district administration Anantnag and deviation from traffic rules shall not be tolerated at any cost. This was stated by District Development Commissioner, Anantnag   Syed Abid Rasheed while inspecting various areas of the Town today. The DDC during his visit was accompanied by SSP, Anantnag, Tehsildar, Anantnag, ARTO, Executive Officer, Muncipal Committee Anantnag, Food designated officer, Officers from Legal Metrology Department.During the inspection a fine of Rs 16000 was imposed on erring shopkeepers for encroachment. The DDC also visited General Bus Stand Anantnag, different coaching centers, SND Sumo stand near old SP Office, Sakhi Zaina-ud-Din WaliRA Sumo Stand, General Bus Stand and directed their presidents to submit authorization papers.On the occasion, the various trade associations demanded for creation of additional parking slots, expansion of bus stand and creation of separate space for the Reda-Walas to regulate traffic in the town. DDC directed Tehsildar Anantnag and Executive Officer MC Anantnag to identify spot for Reda-Walas he also directed EO MC to remove encroachments on foot paths within a week’s time.
