JKLF founder Amanullah Khan Passes away

As per his wish, he will be buried in Gilgit-Balitistan

Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) founder Amanullah Khan passed away at Rawalpindi in Pakistan on Tuesday morning after illness. He was 84.Khan passed away this morning at a hospital around 8:30. The deceased was the co-founder of the Kashmir Independent Committee in 1963.He was elected Secretary General of JK Plebiscite Front (PF) in 1965 and Co-founded the JK National Liberation Front (NLF) with Maqbool Bhat.Khan is the father-in-law of Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone.As per sources, Khan will be buried, as per his wish, in Gilgit Baltistan. 

Khan lived a life of struggle and died in the state of struggle. He maintained a simple life style and his dedication toward the struggle was outstanding.In Kashmir, Khan’s funeral prayer-in-absentia will be held at many places, including in Kupwara district.Khan’s daughter Asma Khan Lone was in Pakistan by the side of his father.Meanwhile the relatives of Khan in Haihama Kupwara held funeral in absentia for the deceased leader.
