Govt committed for development of Backward classes : Dr. Nirmal Singh

The  Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh has said that government is committed for ensuring  development of  backward classes in the state and in this regard several flagship programmes and schemes have been launched which would ensure elevation of their socio-economic profile, besides providing them  requisite employment opportunities.The Deputy Chief Minister was addressing a convention of All India Backward Classes Union at Vijaypur the other day .The Minister for Industries and Commerce, Mr. Chander Prakash Ganga, President, All India Backward Classes Union, Mr Abdul Majid Malik, General Secretary, Prof. Kali Das and senior officers, prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.While Responding to the demands put forth, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the government has already initiated the steps for constitution of Advisory Board for OBCs. He said that besides this several other initiatives have also been undertaking.

Spelling out the broad parameters of the coalition government’s resolve to accelerate the pace of developmental programmes in the state, Dr. Singh said that equitable development is being ensured and instructions already stands passed for their time bound completion. He said that several historical decisions and developmental initiatives have been taken which would ensure that the state comes up as one of the most developed ones of the country in near future.The Deputy Chief Minister said that special focus would be given to redress the issues raised by the representatives of the backward classes in a time bound manner. He said that several new schemes and initiatives for ensuring adequate educational facilities and also new avenues of employment for them would also be explored.The Minister for Industries and Commerce, Mr Chander Prakash Ganga also spoke on the occasion and assured the people that their grievances and issues would be redressed in the time bound manner by taking them up with the concerned.
