Bali Bhagat inaugurates blood donation camp organized by Sant Nirankari Mission

On the occasion of Human Unity Day, the Sant Nirankari Mission in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society and Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), today organized one-day Blood Donation Camp at its Shastri Nagar branch.Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat inaugurated the camp in presence of hundreds of volunteers of Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation and functionaries of IRCS and State Health Department. More than 300 volunteers of the Mission donated blood during the day-long camp.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister lauded the philanthropic initiatives of the Mission, saying that the organization is doing yeoman’s service for the mankind during the past over three decades by organizing free medical camps and blood donation camps. 

He said the organization has set unique example of donating more than 8 lakh units of blood till date and saved numerous human lives, for which the other such organizations should take inspiration and help in serving the mankind. He appealed the youth to generously donate blood for saving the precious lives.Urging the social and religious organizations to make collective efforts in bringing reforms in the society, the Minister said that the social evils like dowry, drug addiction, and female foeticide are spreading fast, which need to be weeded out to ensure a prosperous and progressive future. He stressed the need for educating the younger generation about the rich Indian values and culture, so that they remained connected with their roots and contribute for the development of mankind.

The Minister was apprised that the Mission has arranged blood donation camps today at 119 locations across the country to collect adequate number of blood units to meet the requirements of various health institutions. The main objective of the Mission was to maintain peace, unity and development of the mankind across the globe and numerous initiatives have been undertaken in this direction. The Mission has a large pool of volunteers, which contribute tremendously in various social causes and give its services during the emergencies and disasters.The Mission also organized a grand Satsang wherein hundreds of devotees from different parts of the State participated.
