The Union Minister for Food Processing Harsimrat Kaur Badal today said that the Punjabis living in Canada have rejected the Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh by protesting his programs.Badal said this while interacting with media persons after conducting sangat darshan at village Jhumba. She said that in order to save the already tarnished image of Congress, the party was shifting blame on Canadian government whereas the fact is that Captain has been rejected in Punjab as well as abroad.Terming the Canada trip of Captain Amarinder Singh as an opportunity to mint dollars and save from scorching Indian summers, Badal said that the Congress leaders were not associated with common man and they preferred only the politics of vote.Answering another media query on Congress leader Sunil Jakhar's statement pertaining to probing grain scam on coming to power, Mrs Badal said that these were just politically motivated allegations and there was not even an iota of truth in them. 

She said that the issue of Congress government coming to power did not arise at all.She said that it was Congress that laid foundation stone of corruption in the country. She said that the Congress state leadership should tell people about the Spectrum, Coal, Common Wealth games etc scams that rocked the Congress led UPA government. She said that the Congress ruled nation for more than five decades and looted the country with both hands.She said that the Congress and AAP were purposely taking up the issue of payments of wheat to mislead the farmers, whereas the work on purchase and lifting of produce was going on smoothly.

She said that Congress and AAP have lost issues to debate on and are creating confusion amongst people whereas  in year 2017, people are not going to vote for these parties.The Union Minister today held sangat darshan program of villages Jhumba, Baho Yatri, Ghudda, Chughe Kalan, Chughe Khurd, Kaljharani, Jangirana, Bahadurgarh Jandian, Loolbai, Gehri Buttar and Naruana wherein she solved villagers' problems and issued grants worth lakhs for various developmental works.The former MP Mrs Paramjit Kaur Gulshan, DC Dr Basant Garg, Dr Om Prakash Sharma and others were also present.
