Deputy Chairman, Legislative Council, Jahangir Hussain Mir, paid rich tributes to Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar during a function at Rajiv Nagar here today.Paying homage to the great reformer, Mir said that Baba sahib was a man of high repute and character who stood against castism and devoted his whole life for the welfare, justice and equality of every downtrodden section of the society. He played a key role in compiling the constitution keeping the interests, beliefs and culture of every community in view for which every Indian citizen is proud of, he added.
