Chander Prakash Ganga appeals people to participate in Gram Uday se Bharat Uday’ Abhiyaan

Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga today appealed people of rural areas to actively participate in the ‘Gram Uday se Bharat Uday’Abhiyaan launched by the government to strengthen rural economy.The Minister was speaking during a function organized at village Bandral of Ramgarh area in district Samba.Speaking on the occasion, Ganga urged on the people to participate in various programmes including Village Kissan Sabha, Gram Sabha, Mahilla Gram Sabha etc and take maximum benefit of the schemes. He also asked the people to share their suggestions with the officers so that Panchayati Raj Institutions would be made stronger and more vibrant.Speaking on the development of the rural areas, Ganga said that the government is committed to improve socio economic profile of the people living in the border areas and the coalition government will provide every possible support to further improve their living standards. 

As responsible citizens, people should also come forward and lend their support in making nation developed, he further said.On the occasion, people were informed of various programmes/events to be organized during ‘Gram Uday se Bharat Uday’ Abhiyaan and were appealed to participate in them in large numbers.Responding to the issues of the villagers, the Minister assured them of early redressal.Earlier the Minister kick started the work of 500 feet underground drain at village Bandral to be constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 9.21 lacs in convergence with CDF and MGNREGA.Later the Minister visited village Chack Balotra in border area of Ramgarh and reviewed the ongoing development works. On the demand of locals, he announced the construction of passenger shed for the daily commuters in the area.Among others, ACD Samba Tilak Raj Thapa, concerned officers, sarpanch & panches and large number of villagers were present on the occasion.
