The Delhi government Tuesday asked Delhi Metro why it had closed four stations in the heart of the capital causing misery to thousands of commuters.Delhi Transport Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj wrote to the Delhi Metro chief demanding to know the reasons for the closure of Central Secretariat, Udyog Bhawan, Patel Chowk and Race Course stations."Yes, we have written to the DMRC asking for the reasons," Bhardwaj told IANS. Delhi Metro says the stations were closed at the request of security forces which fear that thousands of AAP supporters could use the Metro to join Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's street protest."The central government is deliberately suspending the metro services so that people suffer and curse the Aam Aadmi Party government," Bhardwaj said."What is the harm if 10-15 percent of metro commuters join the sit-in?" he added.Kejriwal is on a sit-in near Rail Bhavan, not far from parliament, demanding action against allegedly guilty police officers. He also wants Delhi Police to come under the Delhi government's control.
