The Secretary Tourism Farooq Ahmad Shah stressed for completing the ongoing tourism projects on priority particularly the ones which were taken up on the directions of the then CM Mufti Mohammad Syed.Farooq Ahmad Shah in a four hour long review meeting at SKICC urged the concerned CEO's of all Tourism developmental authorities and other officers of tourism sector to work with fresh vigor and speed to ensure the result oriented activities and operations in their respective resorts with the first and foremost concern for preservation of nature and ecology so that it should not be disturbed and tampered with, he instructed the officers present to avoid unwanted use of concrete and other material which will prove detrimental to the environment of respective tourist place he added that only eco friendly and localized materials should be used in the developmental works which are natural and environmental friendly.Farooq Ahmad Shah warned the officers that there has to be transparent and corruption free atmosphere and any violation will be dealt strongly and strictly.

The Secretary directed the CEO’s to be present in their respective locations and work as true guardians of the resorts thus facilitating the tourism friendly atmosphere and facilitate the visitors.The secretary urged the officers to regulate the tourism trade and deal strictly with the culprits who are involved in cheating of tourists or who indulge in encroachments and fraudulent practices as Honble CM Mehbooba Mufti is keen and is working tirelessly to realize the tourism vision of Mufti Mohammad Syed who dreamed to see Jammu Kashmir as one of the best tourism destination in the world.The secretary directed the Incharge officers of Golf and Mice tourism to improve the standards of Golf and Mice infrastructure to the international level and bring in Golf and Mice tourism trade for a fame tour at the earliest so that the Mice infrastructure and Golf infrastructure can be promoted aggressively and effectively.
